Early Life & Education
Julius Sailas, popularly known as DJ Julius On The Beat, is a Nigerian Disc Jockey and record producer who has made a name for himself in the mixtape scene. He was born on August 28, 2000, in Anguwar Dutse, Kafin Allah Gaba, Auchan, Ikara LGA, Kaduna State, but was raised in Kandahar, Tudun Wada, Makarfi LGA, Kaduna State.
He began his education at UBE Primary School, Anguwan Dutse, Allah Gaba, Ikara LGA, where he graduated in 2011. He then attended Haske Academy, Makarfi, before completing his secondary education at Government Secondary School, Gubuchi, in 2017, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
Driven by his passion for knowledge and creativity, Julius proceeded to the Federal College of Education, Zaria, where he gained admission to study Biology/Computer Science.
Career Journey
Before venturing into full-time music, Julius was a music lyricist, graphics designer, and computer operator. His multi-talented nature allowed him to combine skills from these fields to shape his career.
In February 2020, he developed a strong interest in music production. However, due to financial constraints, he could not immediately dive into song production and recording. Instead, he shifted focus to the mixtape scene, where he could still express his creativity and connect with audiences.
By 2021, DJ Julius broke into the Nigerian mixtape market, gaining prominence through his Gospel Hausa Mix, Hausa Artist Mix, Nigerian Music Stars Compilation, and Religious Mixtapes. These mixes quickly gained popularity, earning him recognition across Arewa and beyond.
