Background

Azenna Gaius, popularly known as G Azenna, also known as Sojan Almasihu, is a Nigerian gospel music minister, singer, songwriter, and recording artist from Plateau State. He was born on June 16, 1985, and hails from Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria. Gifted with the ability to minister through music in different languages, G Azenna speaks English, Hausa, Yoruba, and his native language, Mhiship.

Early Life

His musical journey began during his childhood at Ibara Police Barracks, where his father served as a police officer in the Nigeria Police Force. Growing up alongside his parents and five siblings in a family of six children — three boys and three girls — music became an important part of his life and spiritual calling.

In 2003, he officially began his music career as a member of a gospel group known as Chosen Generation. With passion and dedication to spreading the Gospel through music, G Azenna later relocated to Jos around 2012 to pursue gospel music professionally.

Career Journey

His breakthrough came with the release of his hit single “Har’abada” in 2014, produced by Deekay. The song gained massive attention and acceptance across many radio and television stations, becoming a favorite among gospel music lovers. The success of the song also earned him recognition on the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) through the popular program The 700 Club, where he was interviewed twice by Rebecca Garba, one of the organizers and crew members of the show.

Over the years, G Azenna has continued to bless lives with inspirational gospel songs that promote faith, hope, worship, and the message of Jesus Christ. His music ministry has been embraced by many listeners both within and outside Nigeria.
